The Library provides internet access free of charge to all patrons. There are eleven Internet stations for use by the public. Each is equipped with word processing capability. Software is installed on each station limiting the amount of time spent on library computers to one hour per day. This is to assure that all patrons have equal access to the computers. If you need more time on a library computer, just let a staff member know.

The Library also has Wireless Internet access. This allows patrons to bring in their laptop computers and access the Internet. No waiting for a computer, sit anywhere, no time limits! Just select "Library Public WiFi" from the list of wireless connections.

The Library also offers two laptop computers that can be "checked out" to patrons for use while in the library.

You can print from your mobile or personal device while in the library! Simply connect to the Library's WiFi, choose which file you would like to print from your device, and select "Library Gear Managed Printer." Then, let a staff member know and we'll release your print job. Printing fees apply (See below).

The Cedar Springs Public Library circulates a wide variety of materials including books, audiobooks, and DVDs! Read below for additional information regarding our circulation policies.

Most items will auto-renew if no one else is waiting for them. If you would like to check the status of your renewals:

• Visit the library with your library card or valid picture ID.
• Call us at (616) 696-1910.
• Check your account online.

While we are a fee-free library, you may be charged in certain circumstances:

• Returned check fee: $35.00
• Replacement library cards: $2.00
• Collection services fee for items not returned: $9.85
• Book replacement fees: dependant upon the cost of the book needing to be replaced
• Late fees when borrowing from other libraries which are not fee-free

Holds may be placed on most library materials through the online catalog. If the item you want is not available at a Lakeland Library Cooperative library, search the MeLCat Catalog.

You can receive email notifications for when your items are due, renewed, or if a hold you placed is ready for pick up. To sign up for email notifications, let a staff member know the next time you visit the library or log in to manage your account here.

All library materials can be returned inside the library during our regular hours of operation. There is also a return drop box located on the north side of the building for most afterhours returns.

*Please note that CDs and DVDs should not be returned to the drop box. Heavy books and other returned materials can damage them. Patrons are responsible for any damages.*

Cedar Springs Public Library materials may be returned to any Lakeland Library Cooperative branch library. They may also be returned to any Kent District Library branch, but please be aware that CSPL items returned to a KDL branch will not be checked in until they reach the Cedar Springs Public Library.

Curbside Pickup is available upon request. Just call us at 616-696-1910 when you have arrived, give us your name and library card number, let us know where you are parked, and we'll deliver your items to your car!
